Certified « Espace VTT-FFC » (mountain bike area) by the French federation of cycling, our destination offers 102 km of tracks to mountain bike lovers, with amazing points of view et a range of services required for practising.
A mountain bike area, certified by the FFC
Situed at the end of the well-known moutain-biking track « Grande Traversée de l’Ardèche », which goes from Vallon-Pont-D’Arc to Bourg-Saint-Andeol, the space « Du Rhône aux Gorges de l’Ardèche » was certified « Moutain bike area » in 2017. From Viviers to Bourg-Saint-Andeol, including Saint-Martin d’Ardèche and Saint-Montan, 7 mountain bikes tracks with clear signage await you. Organised by 4 levels of difficulties (green, blue, red or black tracks), they are easy to reach and suited for everyone.
For instead, for a family ride, run peacefully along the river Rhone on the track « Les deux ponts » from Viviers to Bourg-Saint-Andeol. If you’re looking for practising your technique, you’d rather choose the trail « Le ravin de la Bardalène » which follows a section of GR42 (great hiking path) on a hilly ground made of limestone rocks, typical from Southern Ardèche. You may also go mountain-biking on the track « Tour de Larnas », from where you’ll have an unobstructed view on the valley of Nègue.

Services dedicated to mountain bikers
In addition of being a real playground for moutain-biking, the area « Du Rhône aux Gorges de l’Ardèche » shelters special services like cycle parks, cycle wash or cycle renting. For more information, please refer to our cycle guide, available in the menu « Brochures » of our website.
Another certification useful for all the cyclists is « Accueil vélo ». This certification, often applied to accomodation and restaurants, concerns tourism and service providers located at a maximum of 5 km from a cycle route like ViaRhôna, the road L’Ardèchoise or the trail « Grande Traversée de l’Ardèche ». They meet criterions :
• Having a closed and secured space to shelter bikes, with a repair kit at disposal
• Offering a range of food adapted to sportive practice and are available for an early departure
• Giving you access to a washing machine and a clothes dryer
• Allowing cars to be parked during a few days nearby or on the car park of the accommodation, for itinerant journeys
